I went looking for a replacement antenna for my Uniden BCXLT125 Scanner, I found the Signal Stuff had great reviews on eHam.net and looked much more rugged that anything else I was finding.
Now after more than a few years use on the scanner, I decided top upgrade my Yaesu FT-70D radio antennas and went with the Super-Elastic Signal Stick. The price can't be beat, and they seem to be unbreakable!
Before watching the video review below, I did not know the newer models have "glow in dark" tips but if you don't need to be tacti-cool, it's a nice feature IMO. I do like the larger tip protector as the smaller one can put your eye out like a Red-Ryder BB gun on Christmas Day!
At 20 inches it does take a bit of getting use too, but can be easily bent in half for more control. The best feature for me is being able to thread it through MOLLE on gear and route it out of the way.
Just a little bit of heat-shrink and "Bob's your 'tacti-cool' Uncle!"
I'm not quite the FanBoy this guy is, but he's right. They are great antennas and the money is going to a good cause.
